Tie Dye T-Shirt Party!! We did this when our oldest turned 13 and it was a blast. It's a little messy but if you have a patio or backyard, this will not only entertain them, keep them out of your home and it is their "party favor".
The article mentions "soda ash" but we didn't use it. What we did though is at the end, dunk the whole t-shirt in white vinegar. Also, we were on a budget given that we had so many kids for this party (over 40) that we told the parents to bring a clean white t-shirt. We dd buy a few ourselves in case any showed up without.
