Hi, I know this sounds crazy, but i'm an 18-year-old who is planning for my future marriage. I know, kids my age are all dating as much as they could, but i kind of made a promise to myself not to date unless i know it is going to work out. I know that there are guys out there who wants to date me, but i just know that it won't work out, so i am not going to bother.

I got out of a 4-year-relationship with a guy who dated me out of sympathy. I was depressed and needy, and that did not work out at all. Right now, i'm working on fixing myself and growing up, and i know that no relationship is going to work out until i'm ready for it. I'm just not in a position of dating.

So here's my question for you guys/girls who're way more experienced than i am:
How do you know that a person is the right person for you?
