My grandparents' marriage was arranged and so was their daughter's (my aunts) and they never divorced. I would think it had more to do with the times (early 1900's) and religious/cultural upbringing where divorce was rare and not much of an option since the marriages were arranged by the parents and typically the only decent option for women in that culture at that time was to become a wife and mother. I don't know that it would have the success rate in this day and age in the US.
