I don't know many parents who don't sometimes feel no matter what they do they have somehow failed parenting in some way, but my late mother used to say she may not always know what to do but she will never give up on her kids. My brother was well on his way to prison when he was a teen and now he's a respected urologist. She never gave up, even when it seemed hopeless
