I am not sure if this is where I can get my answer, but I will try anyway. Few years ago my current wife and I eloped and now that we can afford to pay for our church wedding and reception we will have an official ceremony. The problem is that we never told her parents about it because she was afraid they would be extremely upset. The priest knows her parents and don't we have to show him the marriage license? We are afraid they would find out we eloped. Thanks for listening. Any advice would be helpful.
