I proposed to my GF 10 months into us dating. And we've been happily married for 11 years since. Everyone's different, he may feel like i felt, you are the one. You may feel he is the one too, but you have some reserves at this point. Better to discuss it now honestly, than to destroy him later. I don't care who you are, being turned down from a proposal is heartbreaking. Youtube the clips and look at the guy's face at the end.... not happy.
