Hate to say it but it's rather difficult for a man sometimes (well, at least for me anyway) to willingly go "YAY! Let's make a baby!" I wasn't ready at all for my daughter, but I never expected to feel the way I do now from the very first moment I saw her. So she was lucky.

In regards to your hubby however, I'm getting the vibe that he may have some hurts from his own child however. I may be wrong but I do know that I may not be treating my future children the same way I'm treating my firstborn right now. Besides, I compare all kids to her, imagine if we had another boy or girl; I'll still compare my 2nd born to my first. Hence I'm also worried about having number 2...
