I'm the Groom and started saving up for a ring in december 2009. Me and my fence got engaged November 23 20011. She is a first year Teacher and we let our families know that we were going to wait until x-miss brake to write a guest list, find a venue and set a date (though we both decided that the summer would be an appropriate time). also she would have time to visit her family that lives out of state and show them the ring and do bride stuff. and she has been supper excited about this ever sense our engagement. On December 15 her younger sister also got engaged and on December 17 announced a date and a venue (june 30th 2012). My fiancee was in tears the day she found out, apparently her younger sister has had a history of doing this and is by far favored by the mother. I feel upset because I have owned the setting that I bought for longer than her sister has been with the guy (over a year). After already dealing with one night of fallout i a=can see the writing on the wall. How do i express my feelings and frustration without coming off like an ass****?
