I think the idea of seeing a therapist is a very good idea, for yourself, your hubby, and your marriage.
You and your hubby sound like both of you, in your marriage, have developed quite alot of selfishness and because of that, miscommunication in your marriage. I hear alot of "I, me,mine"

and "he says, he wants, he did"; if you want this marriage to survive BOTH of you have to learn to say "we" and "ours".
