Alice Hoffman's books all have sex scenes here and there and they're not at all about sex. I think the most torrid sex scenes in her books are in Here on Earth which ironically was on Oprah's book list? I love the book but I love all of Hoffman's books...went to see her talk and read just a few weeks ago and have seen her several times. I think your wife will enjoy them. To be bluntly honest, they get me WAY in the mood.
