Sorry that it didnt go well. Is she keeping all the money because she's afraid that you will spend them with your friends? Why is she having a joint account with her sister? Thats something I have not heard of unless they doing some business together.

As for working on your relationship, you can't say much if she says she is not hurt, so like newview said actions needed. Show her you love and care for her. Perhaps you could write her note or letter to start off with and then become the person who you want to be. Once you gain her affection and trust you can talk about the money matters. Give her time, she may not know what changes you are going through.
