Re: Supernatural Experience
Actually, my only supernatural story is one which I'm not sure is supernatural.
Back in '95 or so, when my wife and I were going through our first reconcilliation after her first affair, we went camping high in the Chiricahua Mountains in southeastern Arizona. These were the mountains where Geronimo and his warriors would hang out when they were running from the US Calvary.
It was about 12:00 a.m. and we were asleep in our tent, when we heard far off drumming, coming from higher up the mountain... distinct, rythmic drumming like from a tom-tom drum.
Well, it was early fall and no one else was up on that mountain but me, my wife and the bears. We lay for a while and listened to the drumiming and finally my curiosity got the better of me. I grabbed my rifle and she grabbed the flashlights and off we went. We spent three or four hours hiking all around the summit of the mounatin, with the drumming sometimes getting closer, and then dying off. It was spooky as hell. Eventually around 4:00 a.m. it stopped. We hiked back to camped and collapsed in our sleeping bags.
Next morning my wife asked me if it had been a dream or if it had actually happened.
We never found what was making the drumming, and never saw another soul up there that weekend. Man I get the chills when I remember it.
But it's now one of a hundred memeories going in the trash along with my marriage.
