First let me say I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to this stuff, but I can share the following experiences--
We bought our first home from a man dying of lung cancer. He passed away while we were in contract to buy the house. About a month into living there I heard a tremendous crash-- I initially thought a large piece of furniture had fallen over. I discovered the crash had been in the basement-- the dryer had somehow been pushed a good four feet away from the wall. There was no evidence of explosion, and the ground was level. Because of the new location of the dryer I could see a long-disconnected exhaust hose and a small mountain of laundry lint piled up. We'd been sitting on a CO tragedy waiting to happen (no detectors in the house, we got them after that). I can't describe it but I knew right then it was the previous owner "warning" us. We also had many photographs in the house with strange streaks and spirals of light, in some pictures taken in sequence the spirals could be seen moving in a clear trajectory, and one had the outline of a human form. All of these lights would appear near one daughter in particular.
I've also had any number of prescient dreams. Two in particular come to mind-- the morning of 9/11 I dreamed my family and I were on the 11th floor of the Omni Hotel (formerly in the trade center-- I think it had been renamed the millennium hotel by that point). I looked out the window and saw the 11th floor was level with the underground parking lot. 2 hours later the buildings were destroyed.
Another dream was a week before the 2004 tsunami. I dreamed I was on a tropical island and that the tide was abnormally low. Suddenly the water started coming from all sides of the island, I was running back and forth between the rising tides and realized soon the entire island would be underwater.
I've had any number of prescient dreams about smaller matters, but I also know the human mind can see what it wants to see-- though I'm hard pressed to explain the dream about the Omni Hotel in particular.
