I think your current husband is doing the right thing and doing it the right way. teenage boys are tough.
Best of luck, but I would make sure when you show him the numbers, you are not trying to "trash" your ex or point anything major out.
But point out that you are NOT rich, and that you had to do this and that for him and his brother and sister to survive in their current house.
He will need some hard lesson's in finance, and your better off teaching him now while in the house.
He will figure it out in the long run. I wish you the best of luck
