I enjoy building furniture, cabinets and finish carpentry. We've remodelled two homes now, so I enjoy most aspects. In our current home, we had to add many new lights, completely remodel the kitchen, floors, walls, windows, natural gas plumbing and a large part of the electrical wiring. My wife is great at wall finishing techniques.

My son recently expressed an interest in learning auto maintenance and body work, so he and I are fixing up my wife's old car for him. Trying to teach him basic body repair and painting, plus some repair with brakes and leaky head gasket. I work in automotive new product development, which makes auto repair more like work than a hobby, though.

After a very long break, I've recently taken up writing fiction again.
