And oh yeah, almost everybody will try to sell you on some crap supplement you never needed in the first place. These are not bad people mind you..... just misinformed by marketing claims and don't know any better.

You want answers Endlessgrief? Go ask them in a bodybuilding forum for a more potent information and experiences or feel free to pm me - 'cause "I have a hard on natural bodybuilding!". Seriously, you name it and I have either done it, or heard of it, or know someone doing it right now. But I'll let you know "Intermittent Fasting" goes against a lot of people's beliefs so they bash it insted of trying it for themselves. You won't find many who do it and the rest will tell you, "you're crazy.".

I've been fasting throughout most of the day for nearly three and a half months now, and lifting weights in the evenings four nights a week. I'm stronger on days I go completely fasted and my thinking is much sharper when I don't have to slow everything down with digestion. If I feel more tired than usual I know it's time to break the fast (breakfast - get it!) with something that is mostly protein and less than 20g of carbs or so..... like a vanilla greek yogurt, protein shake, berry gatorade post workout bottle.

It has to be liquid with me because I can't digest meat before the gym, and it has to be protein because you'll eat more carbs than you can handle before you know it and tax your system. After that I back to normal and feel just as strong and refreshed as I would with a giant coffee. And I still make room for a donut once in a while when I can tollerate the sugars.... have to have something sweet after I workout along with my protein shake like a Lil Debbie or Twinkie to keep me from cheating on my diet.

That's right! I fast and workout on an empty stomach, if I want a donut I will eat a donut, I don't do cardio other than walking 2-3 mi, I eat an entire chicken every day... and I'm bigger, stronger, leaner, and faster because of it.
Nsweet, I never go into things lightly and without researching the hell out of things. I do not want to make someone rich by buying suplements where in the commercials, the models are about 20 and say "I lost 40 pounds on (insert name of bullsh!t product here).

In the book I just bought, everything you said was mentioned in the book. I also know some men into fitness and they fast as well before working out to burn stores of fat. Also, these fasts are not long in duration and and only done a couple times a week.

Think about it, I have heard you will get better results if you work out BEFORE BREAKFAST in the morning on an empty stomach.

How often do you do cardio and what kind of cardio do you do and what is the duration? How many times a week do you fast?

When you said you eat a whole chicken a day, is it boiled? I had many bodybuilder friends when I used to go to the gym and they all had boiled chicken in clear bags for their lunch. It didn't look very appetizing. They also suggest eating oatmeal, but I cannot eat oatmeal because the texture and the look of it is like I am eating something someone already ate, puked it up, and gave me their puke bowl.
