Thank you for the kind words. He's out of town with her now. He didn't want me to go because he didn't want me to see him that way. It hurt but I rose above it and gently reminded him that I'm here when/if he needs me. I didn't push to go.

We've had some great late night conversations since he's been gone. I wish it were under better circumstances of course but I will take whatever intimacy I can get.

Long story short is he's rethinking the whole intimacy/affection thing now and he's wishing I were there with him.

So yes I'm still trying.
