In short, accept it and let him m ove on.
Trying to hold onto someone who is running away from you is pointless. It's also very damaging.
If he wants out, there is nothing you can do to change his mind since in order to stay, he has to want to, of his own volition.
Begging and pleading will make him want to get away faster.
So... woman up. Tell him you are sorry he feels that way and go dark on him.
Do not ever chase after a dog that is running away from you.
