the doc gave me citalopram and said the other stuff he could give me would make me more exausted, especially since the new BP meds he's putting me on will also make me tired.

It didn't say when to take it, just once a day. I took it when I got home, about 930 at night. I didn't notice much effect at first, other than some restlessness - I found myself swinging my leather necklace around that I haven't done since I was like 12. Went to bed at a normal time but found myself slightly nauseous and buzzing awake at 230am. I noticed hubby was also restless and awake. We usually don't talk about it, even tho we are both awake. Too bad, in a normal relationship what a wonderful time to cuddle, make love, go for a walk, sit on the roof or just talk. oh well.

Anyway, today I feel ok, not good or bad. He took his son to work today, and came home early by 2pm. He is now taking a nap. Suggested we go buy the six year old a present tonight for his birthday.

He says he wants to save money to move out, but keeps spending money. I don't get it.

Citalopram is an SSRI antidepressent and as such you won't feel any effects at all for at least two weeks after starting it. I'm surprised the doctor didn't tell you that.

As for therapy, i haven't found anyone that charges under 95 / visit. So much for that.

You'd think living a town with this many hospitals we would have better choices.

yeah that sucks

have you tried UNITED WAY ?
they have counseling and sliding scale rates too

Preso - I got in to see a doc last week. He did some labs (found i was way low on potassium) put me on a new BP med that is working and gave me some 'happy pills' citalopram. The happy pills keep me up at night, and make me feel 'plastic' and not real. But they also keep me from being depressed. And happy. And horny. And any other emotion or feeling. Plastic will work for now to keep me from going nuts from neglect and depression, but I don't see it as a long term solution.

No panic attacks since last week, but then again, Hubby has been ultra sweet to me. That may keep me from panicing, but it leaves me with a dread feeling I can't quite describe. Why is he being nice? is this the calm before the storm? what is his game? is he still leaving? what?

Panic update - no more attacks, just the usually crying once in a while, and depression. Those seem 'normal' now after the panic nonsense. lol... isn't it interesting how one bad thing can seem 'not so bad' after something worse comes your way?
