Default Help with birth & marriage docs?

How would I find a listing of a birth, including parents' names and if there was a marriage?

Seems OW has had a baby in the past year possibly out of wedlock.

Thanks for any help.

You go to the county clerk's office and give them what you know (name, DOB, etc.).

It is out of state. Is there a website that would have this info?
Thanks!

Some times local papers do list these as well. Could you see if there paper does and might be able to look it up that way.

I've got her name, the baby's name and the DOB. I just want to know if she listed a father and if there has been any marriage since. Her gift registry is all I could find and it has her maiden name and no other name listed. The baby has a different last name, but it appears she named him after her father's first name.

If I signed up for ancestry.com would I be able to view these records?

You can probably call her local county clerks office. They may or may not be able to tell you over the phone (my best guess is that they won't) but surely there is a way to request that information in writing somehow. There might be a form you can download off their website and then print, fill out and mail or fax to them. In any case, there must be a way, it is a public record.
