Hey Hope. I am sure there are. It's just sad, that any discussion of faith or Christianity has to be relegated to "some other place" I will close by saying this. I have read the Koran, the book of Mormon, and looked at all the pretty pictures in the Bhagavagita. You know what. None of them are like the bible. Why. The bible, unlike any other holy book shows man with all his warts. The other books don't. There is no prophecy (telling the future) in the other holy books. The bible has prophecy and FULLFILLED prophecy. It has miracles. and witnessed accounts of them. And Christ proved it all by being raised from the dead. You know how Mohammed proved his revelation? His wife made him lie on one of her hips and swear that his revelation was true. And just to confirm it she made him lie on her other hip and swear the revelation was true. And the final proof that Mohammed was a prophet of God.....wait for it....He sweated on a cold day. That's the proof.
The Bible was written over a span of two thousand years. 66 books written by 40 different men. Kings, and slaves, rich and poor. And it was written on three different continents. But it all says the same thing. Consider Christ.
And in case we have any mathematicians out there. Here is a probability study on " The chances" that Jesus was not the messiah. Get your calculators ready.
One of my favorites comes from the book of Isiah (around 550 b.c.). God was ticked at the city of Tyre. He said "The city of tyre will be cast into the sea". In 330 B.C (over 200 years later) Alexander came to the city of Tyre, but by that time the Phoenicians had moved to the island off the coast of the original city for protection. Alexander demanded their surrender. They declined. So guess what Alexander did. He took the city of Tyre and literally scraped it down to rock and "cast it into the sea" to build a causeway to the island. Hows that for a prophecy. There are hundreds of them in the bible. None in any other holy book.
