I was going to ask the same exact thing that costa asked. Any teenagers in the house (doesn't necessarily have to be a teen-aged boy)?
Go hard into Nancy Drew mode. Check everything... phone bills, online banking, if he leaves his phone unattended, check his texting, hidden folders on the computer, Facebook (if he has one), twitter (if he has one), etc.

Another thing to do is to check his car. When my husband was cheating I found condoms several times in different places... glove compartment, in the wheel well, in a compartment where the jack and other tools go.
I marked them with small numbers using an indelable marker. Then I kept checking for a few weeks. I could see new ones were added as the older ones were used.
So when he told me that they were just old ones that a friend left in his car I could counter that I knew that was a lie and why.
Also check in brief case, his come desk and anything else of his around the house. When I did I found cards from other women. I found receipts for dinner, tons on phone calls. His company paid his hotel bills.. I checked his company hotel receipts and found phone calls to women. I even found notes with phone numbers on them.

I had a coworker who found a condom on the ground outside the motel a bunch of us were staying at on a business trip. He put it in another guy's suit coat pocket. Unfortunately the guy's wife found it. It wasn"t nearly so funny then. We were young and stupid!!

Did that to a friend, we were teens and his mum found the condom. She had his father give him "the talk". That was fun

First off,
What kind of condom was it? Because he could easily lie and said people were passing them out as part of a marketing campaign for safety or some B.S. like that. Because I have been places where people randomly hand out condoms and flyers.
If it's a LIFESTYLE condom...I wouldn't put too much stock in it because you're playing with fire when using those cheap a.s.s. condoms. Grown men don't buy lifestyles, plus why would you buy it when you can get those cheap things for free. Plus they tear easy. Same thing with Durex.
If its a Gold rapper (MAGNUM) You should be more suspicious. They are even handing these out at random but defintely not as much. Magnums come in a box so check his drawers, his glove department and any where else in the car for the other condoms.
TROJANS...Hell nah...He bought those joints. Trojans aren't cheap and they have a lot of specialty brands. They don't give out Trojans just because, unless they are some cheap kind which is rare.
Don't get gassed. No man is running around with a condom just because. Don't fall for the buddy trick, or health campaign trick. Do your due dilligence.

I dislike hijacking threads, but I dislike misinformation even more. When making statements like the one made in your post, supplying some type of citation to back up your claims would be nice.
There is virtually no difference between condoms that have been approved by the FDA in terms of breakage/slippage/effectiveness, here is a link to an abstract of a study looking at the three popular brands in the US (Trojan, Lifestyles, Ramses):

He wanted to get caught. NO ONE leaves a condom in their pocket by accident when they are cheating/thinking of cheating. Cheaters are on high alert all.the.time. He wants you to catch him.

I think he's an idiot! Why the condom was there, with the exception of it belonging to a teenaged son/daughter, is irrelevant. The dude had a condom!
I found a box of condoms in my H's drawer after we moved into our house last summer. He's fixed. I asked about them. Embarassed, he told me they were old. The expiry date was from 2008; he passed.
