Default Staying in Dating Trim

A lot of people are dealing with infidelity AFTER the fact and getting on with their lives.

One of the suggestions everyone is making is eating healthy, working out, making social networks etc.

And another common theme seems to be that the WS raises a red flag when he/she starts working out, putting on make up, changing their dressing patterns etc as they are getting ready to walk out the door.

I've had my own little blow up in the marriage and suddenly the W and I are both paying attention to who we are as people. We are trying to become people whom we'd like to date.

So...I have to wonder why people are taking this excellent advice AFTER the infidelity sets in. Why not keep in 'Dating Trim' for both men and women: being fit, being interesting, being the person you'd want to go after.

Just bringing this up for discussion.

I think it's nice for your self esteem, nice for your spouse, and generally good for you to maintain a healthy lifestyle .

Eating well, exercising and being the best you can be, mentally & physically is generally healthy for a relationship. People choosing to cheat by taking advantage of their looks I think is another issue.

I agree in making the effort for your partner. You should always try. Obviously there are times where we look a mess, and we should always be comfortable in that too. But trying and making effort to stay interesting, looking good, etc is a must. Too many people let themselves completely go, THAT is offputting. Why would anyone want to turn their partner off? Stupid.
