should I go or not- what do you think?

In a nutshell, my husband had an affair with a woman he works with ( he is her direct supervisor- they are both in the army). It lasted for about three weeks this summer. We attended counseling, etc., and things were getting better, but he deployed in mid October to Afghanistan for 6 months.

I got invited to his squadron's Christmas party today and I said I would go, but now I am kind of wondering if that was a bad idea. She will be there, and I don't really feel like having to deal with her at all- but if I do go, it might show her that I won't stay away from things just because she may be there ( even though that isn't really true, I guess). Also, should I tell my husband I am going?

maybe I am making this a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be! I HATE it when things get complicated!

I got an email from my husband and he told me that he will be leaving Kandahar Airfield to go to a forward operating base really soon ( they won't tell him when), and once he's there, we probably won't be able to ne in touch for about six weeks or more.
