Default Waiting Game

I have been dating my boyfriend for 4 months now, neither one of us has told the other we love them.My boyfriend made reservations at a very romantic resort, trouble is there was no romance.I thought this was going to be it the time where he would say those 3 special words.
I bought him some Valentines gifts and a card but got nothing in return,it seems he runs warm not even hot to cold with not too much in between. He did tell me about 3 months ago that he wanted to take things slow but things seem to be going in reverse. What does slow mean?I thought and so did all of my friends that spending a night at a expensive romantic resort would mean something but it turned out nothing special. Some say wait a couple of more months and see how he is,other's say go for it and tell him I have fallen in love with him. What would you do?

That kind of reminds me of my husband back when we were dating... i told him i loved him after 6 months and he told me "he liked me a lot" then after a year i brought it up and he said it... but i felt like i had to teach him what he's supposed to do... i was his first serious relationship...
The fact that he made reservations is a good step, it sounds like he's trying to be romantic... you could always bring it up and either he's taking things super slow and he's very into you or i guess it could scare him if he feels like it's rushing. But whatever happens... just know that it might stay that way even after the I love you and then marriage, my husband doesn't have a clue on how to be romantic...but i guess i knew that going in...

I told my boyfriend I have fallen in love with him last night and all he said was Thank you,I guess that means he does not feel the same way?

No, he doesn't. Right now he probably doesn't feel the same. I already answered your other post, but I saw this one. If he is not returning your feelings, and saying only thank you... and went to a romantic resort, for V-Day and got you absolutely nothing,,, I'd say it's safe to assume he doesn't feel the same. I am only being honest! I was starting to think maybe you just wanted someone to tell you what you wanted to hear? That he really loves you but just won't say it. Unfortunately, usually that is not the case when someone says something like "thank you" after you tell them you're falling in love. Especially with men, they usually mean exactly what they say... Please don't get down though, that does Not mean he doesn't care a lot for you, and want to continue dating.... He probably just wasn't ready to hear that, and is not at that level of commitment yet. Does that mean he'll never be there? No,,, he might very well love you that deeply in time. But for now, you might have to let it go, and if he says it to you... then congrats! If not, then don't hang around forever, if a serious relationship is what you desire... dont' set yourself up to be hurt deeply. Not that you're not hurt by his response, but keep your eyes open, and use your head And your heart while making decisions regarding this relationship....
