I have had many people in my family die, as well as friends, and countless patients who I befriended during my work as a health care worker....
some not very old.
I find each time... it is a shock, no matter if they were old or even sick...
when your told they died, it feels like a suprise.
There is a period of sadness, followed by a period of
pondering life in general. It wears off in time ... guess because we learn to accept the deaths and our assessments of what life is all about... and the shortness of it...
the realizations how we all die and many other things we conclude during our time in mourning emotionally and questioning the value and meaning of life.
I'm just letting you know it will wear off after some time
as we grow to accept the death and our conclusions we come to about death and life during mouring.
Guess I'm trying to say, it will get better.
