Is it wrong for me to not take my husbands last name right away? There are just so many things I could have to change- credit card, debit card, car registration, license, etc. Car is even harder because he is military and we are out of state. Also it is about to be tax time and FAFSA time and everything.

Problem is my current last name is my ex husbands.

It took me about 4 months to get my drivers license changed and 8 months on the SSN. I still have some things in my ex's name a year later. I kept the old copy of my license to use if I needed to show ID to match them. 2 of our bills are actually in my ex-husbands name and everyone is ok with that - keeps from having to pay deposits again. My car registration is my ex and my name. My student loan is still in my maiden name 2 names back

Is your new husband not happy about the name change thing?
