You can't take over his finances for him?? That's how things work in my household... I pay all the bills from a "bills" account. Then he has his own spending account and I have my own as well as an account for our daughter. I know what bills are going out every week. I make a budget up for six months, in pencil, so I can change things around if need be. I know when what is going to be paid every week. Thursday I get online and get the paycheck and go directly to the bank online and set it all up to be paid when the $$ hits. If there is enough $$ leftover, it gets banked in savings. Cut up all the credit cards... they're nothing but trouble. Evil trouble. Hope this is of some help.
