Default On the mend

I have only been a member here for a short time, but I want to give a tremendous word of thanks to the parties that created the TAM forums and its' outstanding contributors.

Being able to come here, to give, and to take, has been a great experience and extremely beneficial.

My wife and I have re-engaged. We both accept that there is work that needs to be done - but we have begun sharing those moments together once again that sheds a light upon the reasons that you fell in love and married in the first place. Being together feels good instead of adversarial. The kisses and embraces are heartfelt and still can take my breath away. Reasons enought to tell me that it is not time to give up.

We been doing a good deal of therapy together - without the benefit of our therapist. Neither of us are naive to believe that our issues have vanished. But at least we do share the common hope that they can be overcome.

That is great. I love to hear the successes of people who have gone through trials. Gives us hope. Best to both of you.

Thank you all, for the words of support.

It is challenging. We have made some wonderful connections - but it is apparent that many of the underlying issues remain. Primarily, from her perspective, I appear to be angry often. She doesn't quite know what to do with the 'angry guy', so she avoids me - which consequently tends to make me truly angry. Thank goodness we have a therapist to help us navigate this quagmire.

I am about to start a new job that will have me traveling quite frequently. I tend to think that this will actually be a boon to our relationship at the moment - if it does not unduly strain expectations on her part for managing the home-front, and two young children.
