Knickerbockerglory TV are looking for couples to take part in a new documentary

I am writing from Knickerbockerglory TV where we are making a sensitive documentary about couples in therapy. We want to film with couples who are open about counselling and feel they could benefit from working through their problems within a safe environment, in a very intimate and honest way. With this documentary we want to de-stigmatise the concept of relationship therapy and emphasise how valuable it can be for couples to talk through their issues in order to improve many aspects of their relationship. We hope that this experience will not only be extremely beneficial to the couple involved in the filming, but also to those watching at home who may be able to relate to some of the issues raised, inspiring them to take steps to resolve conflict and improve satisfaction within their own relationships.

For this documentary we’re looking for a couple who are willing to be open about their relationship in sessions with our therapist on camera. We’re hoping to film with people who have genuine problems or concerns in their marriage or relationship that can be worked through and resolved over a set period of time.

We are working with renowned therapist, Mandy Saligari to make this groundbreaking documentary - you can take a look at her experience and background here Mandy Saligari ? Addiction, Parenting and Relationships expert. The regular filmed therapy sessions will be free of charge, will take place in a Central London location, and will be arranged around both of your schedules

A little about us: Knickerbockerglory was started by a BAFTA-nominated and Royal Television Society Award-winning production team, and have since made series for the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, Discovery and E4. We are the first production team to operate as a profit-sharing company, and we also give 10% of profits to local charities as voted for by our production teams each year.

We work honestly and openly with our contributors at all times with extensive planning and extreme sensitivity. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us. We pride ourselves on being different to other production companies, in that we work in partnership with our contributors to tell their stories, so rather than making a documentary ‘about them’, we make a documentary 'with them'.

Some of our programmes include GPs: Behind Closed Doors which we are currently making series 5 of for Channel 5. It is the first documentary series on British television to tell the story of general practise and doctors through the use of ‘fixed rig’ cameras. Crucially - we have been asked back by every single surgery we have filmed with - and despite all their fears about being stitched up or showing doctors making mistakes - they have loved the process and would recommend us to anyone.

We also have a strong history of making honest documentaries that challenge people’s preconceptions. We recently made the first of a series called My Name Is… and I’m An Alcoholic for Channel 5, which received over a million views.
