That should be between spouses to decide, but it does make it awfully convenient to cover the bills and make household purchases, assuming you are both responsible with money.

I agree with lon. The joint account is nice in the aspect that there can be money for bills and such but I think it would be best if added for that purpose and the spouses can keep seperate ac****s for some fun money on the side if they want.

Speaking about the joint vs separate accounts... my parents have separate, my husband and I have joint. Joint account just makes things easier for us. Mom and dad say it's easier for them to keep track if separate accounts. Knowing mom and dad as I do.... I agree with them! LOL

It's just what works for you. It really doesn't matter what works for me. My husband and I are not you and your spouse.
