How did you spend Labor Day and/or the weekend?

I had lots of time--dh had the kids 2 days, I had them one. I went out to dinner with a friend, saw a movie, went running twice, read, and today another friend and I went canoeing and fishing. It was gorgeous here, and a perfect day for it!

I took kids to local zoo.. Left wife at home. In the afternoon I took daughter to Fridays and then to Friendly's. Also left wife at home. If she doesn't want to do family things oh well.. Her sister can't understand why she didn't go. I can though.. She can't give inyet. She needs to punish me more...

Took DD to a friends house swimming, had an all day movie/popcorn day with DD and DH, then spent the day today washing windows and screens. It was almost a perfect weekend!

Saturday was our anniversary, so while our son stayed w/ grandma, we went to Hubert Keller's restaurant in SF, Fleur de Lys. What a grand meal! We had a fabulous time, and got to sleep in on Sunday for a change. Saturday we went to a friend's house and the kiddo got to swim with his best friend, while we chatted w/ the adults. Then we had my dad and sister and her family over for dinner in the evening. Busy weekend, but a good one.

I spent the afternoon on the lake with my 16 yr old son and his friends. My wife (soon to be x), since we're going through the divorce process, watched him wakeboard from a friends boat.

During part of the afternoon, while taking a break from boating, (while we were with friends), we briefly joked about the nice settlement she'll be getting from the divorce.

We're civil, since it's been 18 months of fussing and separation, before it was finally filed.

Also lake time in canoe with young twins. An amusement park, whose travel/traffic time took a 7 hour divit out of a two day 6 hour round trip destination. Too much car time, 2 more days on top of the previous dozen with zero romance. She got upset at my not wanting to make the 7hour round trip again...to shop while I took the kids back to the park. We finally fought this morning over it and ash is still falling from the sky.

We had a lot of great family time and really enjoyed it. We spent most of the weekend camping with my wife's parents. On Monday, I took my son out with me to hang a tree stand and just spend some quality time in the woods together. All in all, it was a great weekend!

Alone in the house, kids with Grandma, and W spending the weekend with OM! Actually it was nice, as there was no yelling in the house. I got to go out a bit and do something for myself.
