I remember how to wear them, don't want to swim in it. But gee, it looks like its going to be a chemistry experiment. I thought this would be easy. LOL. I'm not going to take her for it. I know that may be taking a chance she might not like it. But that's the kick about it. I want it for a get-a-way week end. Got a dinner and a show planned.
Thanks for the many suggestions and info. Got my note book and off to Lord and Taylor. Can't wait for the look on the counter person's face.

Says the man that would prefer the loamy scent of all day on a pond or river, comingled with perspiration and delicate odor of bucket-mouths.

Can't say I blame you, but don't think it's going to rev the ladies engines ...

I don't much care what the cologne smells like, I care what SHE thinks the cologne smells like

Bulgari Blu Notte - have never gotten more comments, inquiries or compliments. But now I'm tempted to try the other one mentioned.

The most recent cologne I got him was "Guilty" by Gucci. I tell him he's my guilty pleasure....or that I want him to get close and make my senses feel guilty. Yes, I am Austin Powers in disguise.

Small amount though. Less is more. No trailing the scent.

Essential oils are nice too. Just a small dab. Sandalwood or cedarwood are good choices for men.

Armani Mania- they stopped making it but it's exceptional. Personal favourite

Aramis-You must let it mellow and only wear it at night, preferably special occasions.

Dior Fahrenheit 32- Again, another favourite aftershave but it's primarily a Summer fragrance, Aqua Di Gio comes close

1 Million Paco Rabanne- Great casual aftershave

Hugo Boss For Men Eau De Toilette- Perfect for the office

And yes, I'm a bit of an aftershave enthusiast

Totally agree with this. My own personal experience, too -- I have a really strong 'instant headache' reaction to sandalwood, which is in a lot of fragrances. It's not easy for people to just buy something for me. I'd go hit the department stores and try some testers.

STBXH wears Signature by Kenneth Cole. It's a really nice scent.

And don't forget to consider that a cologne may clash with an anti-perspirant/deodorant you wear, unless you use an unscented one.

1. Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana
2. London by Burberry
3. Bleu by Chanel
4. eau Fraiche by Versace
5. The One Gentleman by Dolce and Gabbana

Light Blue - I have nearly accidentally purchased the women's fragrance for hubs a few times now. It smells good, refreshing.

If men want to smell good for women, maybe there should be a cologne that smells like dark chocolate. It'd work for me ....although my favorite scent is his own natural smell. I love to nuzzle into his neck and inhale. Intoxicating.

okay I looked up the aromas...coffee, cedar, cinnamon, patchouli (which I love), lemon etc. I will check this out. I'm not a coffee drinker but I do like the aroma. Being combined with cinnamon and such, sounds good.

As close as it gets in my opinion. Especially after it mellows out. It's a very dark scent. Try it in a store and smell after a couple of hours , it definitely changes.

I've never been into cologne, but M uses a deodorant that makes me want to jump him (not Axe- BLEEEECH- but I can't remember the brand). Also, there are some people who use a laundry detergent or fabric softener or something and I *love* how it smells. I'm always too chickensh!t to ask what it is though.
