Congratulations ...it's great to hear a couple is happily >> !! The Doctor probably has no idea just how much his simple words soothed you, when walking out the door.. Good to see you are both still enjoying life.. and intimacies .

Thank you for your posts. They warm my heart, and if I might add, that I know where you are coming from. You see, my wife and I have been together for 42 years, and married almost 39. She is still my girlfriend. The kids are now out on their own, and we worked on turning toward one another instead of away. I know that sounds a little strange, but we find that among our friends, say out of 10 couples back when we were first marred, us and one other couple are still married. We dropped the big mausoleum of a house, and bought ourselves a little townhouse which we call the "love-nest", so that we are not spending all of our time maintaining a house. Just living.

Don't let anyone tell you that passion fades after 60. We are passionately in love with one another. We get off, just hanging out. She knows she is my little island of sanity in an insane world, and I am hers. In fact, in every way shape or form, I am hers.
Hi Taxman...Thank you for your note...What you speak about is so true...I truly believe we finally found the two people who fell in love after the kids were gone...Before that time you are kind of divided...Now he is all mine..I am just so blessed with his having lived through his heart problem where he was saved by being in the hospital with the Paddles...This happened with our son and me in his room...He had the Pacemaker put in the next morning...His last surgery was was a nightmare and I never heard of that word before......Just all part of life and learning...

The two of you keep on being who you are...Life is good...Take care...TTAL...

H again SA....I will always remember you with a smile as you were the first friend I had...I was shocked when I saw it as I thought nobody would want to have my name or picture on their site....Stupid, but so goes life...Either way we are still members of the human race...Never thought we would live this long NOR what I learned early this morning....This will be my next post...

Thanks again for being my friend and confident...You are special...Take care...TTAL...

TTAL
I too put my family through hell with my health issues. I have written here twice that I used to be a realllly big boy. That, coupled with a 3 pack a day cigarette habit, led to my first heart attack at age 40. That did not smarten me up, so the second at 45 was a widowmaker. I spent two years recovering from the attack. Two years later, my Mom dies of complications of obesity. I started Weight Watchers, and am now in control. I was over 300 lbs and am now in the 190s.

I have given my wife a new man. All the passion of the old guy, but with a physique and stamina. Yippeekiyaaay!

PS, Your husband has also had an attack of Diverticulitis? Geez, are you sure we are not related? I have had, thus far, a bum ticker, obesity, diabetes, and finally diverticulitis that knocked me on my butt about 15 years ago.
