Hope I'm not bothering you but I just wanted to tell you I really enjoy your posts and the things you have to say. You give some great advice and insight, this forum is lucky to have you! Hi CAO just thouht I would write you a note and hope that u r doing better these days. If i'm not mistaken yo have been married over 20 years and that is a long time to let go of. I hope that your situation has improved and that your financial sit is doing better for you too. It seems to be pretty complicated for you so hang in there and try your best for wahtever route you take.

I thought I would just send you a private message, since there are getting to be too many details for the public side of the forum. My husband is also very sneaky and I suspect he is starting to snoop. You and I seem to have a lot in common.

We live in Florida--it's a "no fault" divorce state. My husband can do whatever he wants and suffer no consequenses. But the lawyer and the counselor say the judge will look at his "stuff" in determining alimony. As for lawyers, I used to have a deal. My cousin's husband was our family attorney and he hardly charged us for his services. However, that came to an end in March. He and his father drowned in one of our farm ponds. I'm using his partner now and she isn't cheap. Nonetheless, I did get much valuable information out of Alan before his death. He said it would be much better if my husband and I worked things out. A divorce is going to cost around $150,000 in our case. I've shared that figure with my husband; of course, he doesn't believe it. I honestly believe he thinks counseling will get an amicable divorce without the expense. That's going to be a huge mess with the shape our business is in.

You're right about the husbands not appreciating anything we do. I think that's just part of the emotional detachment that goes along with the affairs. Both of us seem to have just too many responsibilities. You really have a long commute time every day! At least mine is only 20 minutes.

After getting the company bank statement yesterday I've got yet another problem. My husband is right back pulling large sums of money out of the business (even though he's on credit hold by the primary vendor). My lawyer told me to simply go transfer the company checking account to another bank. She said to put his name on the new account but with NO check writting privileges. I'm afraid he will run then. Without his license on the wall, I have no business. I lose either way. Boy! These affairs make men go crazy! I hope your husband doesn't get this bad!
