- When I cheated on my wife over 15 years ago, my world fell apart, including my marriage. My real healing didn't start until a few years later and some time after that I started helping other men/couples who were struggling with affair issues. With encouragement from others, I completed my degree in counseling and for the past 5 years have been counseling with a focus on affair recovery. I eventually married a woman who swore she would never be in a relationship with a man who had an affair history since her first husband started having multiple affairs within months of their wedding. But here we are... healthy and happy and doing the work that keeps us moving toward each other. That's grace!
