He has the checkbook at his home which is 94 miles away. I don't have access to ANYTHING.

Is your name on the acct? Can you pay online or go to a local branc?

Re lawyer, since you have more than the letter to discuss, make an appt. She needs to get her ass planning how to deal with the asset issue pronto, as well as temp support, yesterday. Let them know you are in deep, now.

Update:
My attorney's office called to say that "they've been busy" and that they will get the letter to me for review by tomorrow morning.

That's cool. Did you make an appt for a face-to-face?

I didn't want to post this but this is another reason why my husband does not want me.
Not everyone is that shallow! Stop thinking that way! I have two brothers in that age range who could care less about stuff like that and just care about the heart and soul.

Your husband is a cruel git. Don't paint all men with his pathetic excuse for a brush.

I have a credit card. He pays that bill. I only put the food store and car gas on it. It's minimal. I haven't used it in a week and I assume that he didn't cut it off.

Tell that to all the men and women out there married to war veterans whose bodies are shells of their former selves. They didn't marry their body - they married the PERSON.

Then he's even MORE disgusting.

And the reason you can't see that someone will want you is that your husband has DISTORTED your thinking by abusing you mentally. You'll see, once you started reading the abuse info, how they do that.

Trust me. You are loveable and you deserve love and you will FIND someone who cherishes you and treasures their time with you.

Have you actually GONE to the bank, asked to speak to the branch manager, and asked for access? Why not?

Go to your grocery store and get a bunch of gift cards to stores you have to shop at, and buy the gift cards with the credit card. Get a few hundred dollars' worth of grocery store, Target, Walgreens, etc. gift cards and just start using them if he doesn't send money. People do it all the time.

Funny you should mention your leg, I have a leg that is about as messed up as it can be while still being attached. It has been a long time since the accident and I still feel a little self concious, I do go to the beach and the pool still though. The one thing I have learned is that nobody cares but me. When you come to realize that you inevitably will care a lot less as well. You are not interested in the kind of guy who can't see the real you anyway.

Keep records though lest he claim that you are stealing.

Check on anything that still has your name on it. Use what you must.

Thank you for that great idea. He is already playing games and he didn't even get the letter from my Attorney yet. I better brace myself for a long difficult up hill battle, huh?

My gut tells me that he has contacted/met with an Attorney.
Probably hired a bull dog. Perhaps his Attorney told him not to send her any money or not to answer her E-mails???????
