There are shown in Scripture no examples of women being in leadership in Christ's Church or in OT times.
The only possible example whould be that of Prophetess Deborah in the OT. However, she actually led nobody into any corporate effort since the King still led the army. She was only the mouthpiece for God, and was only an encourager of the people. She made no decisions, and was not any example which the army or the people followed.
We can go ahead and find God's reasons from Scripture for women not being in Church leadership, if you want.

Scripture interpretation is not an easy task, here are a few others you may want to check out:
Well, had Constantine allowed the Gospel of Mary Magdalene to be put into The New Testament we might be seeing a very different picture. We must also look at what was omitted from the Bible--and the reasons behind some of the omissions.

Yes. The word "might" does serve well people who depend upon intuitive and imaginary notions, doesn't it ... ?
Even if Mary Magdalene was a leader in the Early Church, what did she "lead" people to accomplish? Can you state the facts beyond what you "sense" to be true?
If you understand how Bible was made, you know the truth was torn in to pieces, some were destroyed when some were twisted into religion purpose.
They enjoy called Bible is the book of God's words. Bible is the only book of God, which is not true. God or Christ never ever said we're bless with a book of God.
Excuse me, Bible has so many versions through out history. It's been edited countless times.
If you really want to read Bible, you need at least 4 versions with some trustworthy translations books as well.
In the end, what you get is still not the whole truth but just few parts of the truth. You might get a basic rough picture of God & Christ but not the whole picture.
So I want to ask what Scripture has the words of God? Non! They're mostly words of ppl.
About women should lead the church or not, in my opinion, who cares? Church is a man made building and an organisation established by ppl. There are probably more than 100 different names of churches on Earth. Who cares about who wants to be the leader of 1 church out of 100?
I only believe in God who created the universe. The whole universe and non universe (outside the universe) are His church because of Him, His church exists and in His order. I believe He is the true leader of His church. He's God. He's our Father. There's no such book nor a scripture on Earth that could contain His wisdom and Truth. If you want to ask Him,
Come to Him humbly, and ask, He might tell you about His Book, but your compreherion would be too limited to understand even just 0.1% of his Book.
His Book is not comprehensible by human beings.
Does He wants a woman to lead any man made church on Earth? pray to Him and ask!
I guess He might tell you that you should follow the TRUE leader.
It is exactly this fundamentalist BS that drove me from the church (after a lifetime of attendance), never to return. And in case you're wondering, I've never been closer to God. All that fundamentalist crap got in the way of that.
You have never been closer to God? Let me tell you that you have eyes but actually you're blind. God's been watching you and listening to your rant from your first prayer.
God doesn't live in man made building, that called church. If you try to search Him at the wrong place, you don't find Him. Posted via Mobile Device
JoReba, perhaps you should clarify the point of the posts. Otherwise, it may appear you're attempting to incite....
mommy, Perhaps you should learn to read the lines themselves in my post instead of "Reading in between the lines."
Lol. Do women compulsively "Read in between the lines ... ?"
And, what exactly do you "feel" I am trying to incite? Where in Scripture are the women in true leadership? Do you actually know, or are you just kind of "sensing things" ... ?
