Frankly, I don't think Trump is any more devious or immoral or aggressive than any other head of industry. I've done constructions projects for billionaires in Arizona, California and Texas, and they are all, to a man, aggressive, competitive and arrogant. They have to be. To exert that kind of control over big corporations you have to be slicker and stronger than your competitors.

Right now I'm building two restaurants for the owner of the Houston Astros, and while I do like him, he has a ruthlessness that scares me sometimes. And he's what?...one out of a hundred or so billionaires here in Houston?
Wow. Frightening.

He won simply because red voted red even though they said they wouldn't and blue didn't all vote blue. It's interesting that the blue's moral objections to their own candidate was stronger than red's moral objections to theirs, which is ironic considering how "moralistic" the red deems itself to be.

Also, the electoral college, you know, cause she did actual get more people to vote for her.

I agree.

Who do you think the Dems could have run, though?

I liked Bernie, but he was pretty complimentary of Communists in the past. That surely would have hurt him in the general.

Idk. I think he and Trump might be tied.

And, who knows, it may be part of why the markets stabilized so quickly after he won. The elite know he is an ally.
Market will continue to do well. Middle class wages will stay stagnate. Cost of goods will rise. Wealthy will do even better. Wealth gap widens. Blue collars duped but will refuse to see why and blame liberals.

Talk about a conflict of interests. Wait til we find out that he actually stands to lose money on some of the ideas he has posted and then changes his tune.

That's what I worry about the most. I'm not sure that he's only is it for himself. The rich are never satisfied, if there's a way to get richer, they do it. Who cares if he screws up the country, if he personally makes money on the deal, that may be he's only motivation.

"Red" can sermonize all they want. At the end of the day they vote their fears.

Money always rises to the top. Since there is a finite supply of wealth, eventually everyone else on the bottom loses. It's ironic that Trump, the master of the casino, is now president, because that is exactly how casinos work.

Yes, that might be a good ticket.

Not sure it was a good idea for her to get into a twitter war with Trump, though. Lowers her classiness.

I am amazed working people would vote for him knowing he did not pay his own workers.
