ok, didn't know that. Thanks for adding that. I still question his motive though. I don't think he really wants to make America better, just grab all the money he can.

Yes, Mr. Ryan. Who seemed to lose all his convictions once the election was unexpectedly won.

I think it's all an ego trip for him. Like everything else in his life.

Jimmy Carter had a 153 I.Q., and he was a fvcking disaster.

The Simonton IQ polls list the top 10 "smartest" presidents as follows:

1) John Adams - 173
2) T. Jefferson - 160
3) John Kennedy - 158
4) Bill Clinton - 156
5) James Madiosn - 155
6) J. Carter 153
7) Woodrow Wilson 152
8) Teddy Roosevelt 149
9) James Garfield 148
10) Chester Arthur 148

Gerald Ford was lowest at 111.
The vilified G.W. Bush came in at 124.

George Washington father of our country? 130.
There's no way Dubya has an IQ of 124, I really doubt if it's over 100. He must have paid someone to take the test for him .

Of course not. The specific question of this thread is whether or not Trump is an moron. Did you not expect to see discussions about intelligence?

I put no faith in IQ numbers for men dead 150 years before a standardized test even existed, or for anyone today who did not take it in a controlled environment.

I can tell you what on online test believes my IQ to be. You'd laugh me out of the building.

Yes, yes, and nope. Or if they do, they believe his boasts about how much he increased his net worth, rather than his bankruptcies and out-of-court settlements.

There was a study that came out in 1991 that listed W's I.Q. at 91, but is was later disproved as a hoax.

Quoted from Wikipedia:

Quote:
A 2006 study analyzing presidential IQs by Dean Keith Simonton of U.C. Davis appeared in the journal Political Psychology. Simonton's study analyzed the results of varied and often subjective historical material using the tools of historiometry. It estimated IQs for all US presidents, and validated the headline of the hoax, which stated Bush's was the lowest of any president in the last 50 years, though it estimates his IQ considerably higher (by more than two standard deviations) than the 91 suggested in the hoax report. It rated G.W. Bush second to last since 1900, with an estimated IQ of 119 (the estimates ranged from 111 to 139). Bush's estimated IQ was less than those estimated for Grant (120), Monroe (124), and Harding (124). The same study estimated president Bill Clinton's IQ at 149, behind only those of Kennedy (151), Jefferson (154) and John Quincy Adams (169).[9]

Simonton's 2006 study follows earlier studies done on this subject, including a 1926 study by Catharine Cox Miles. This study concluded that there is a statistically significant correlation of 0.56 between a U.S. President's IQ and his perceived amount of success.[10] It is worth noting that other sources and/or studies might have different results for the IQs of United States Presidents. For instance, John F. Kennedy's IQ has also been estimated to have been significantly lower than in this 2006 study (Chester Arthur biographer Thomas C. Reeves refers to an actual IQ test by Kennedy with a score of 119[11]), while Richard Nixon's IQ has also been estimated to have been significantly higher than in this study.

In 2000 he said that universal healthcare is an entitlement to this country if we want to have a great country again. Also said his views on healthcare were quite liberal and getting more so.

That's good. I hope he will revisit that conviction.

Too easily impressed.

But mostly, they wanted to believe in the person who validated their fears. I really, really wish Hillary could have done that.

I take them with a grain of salt also, but intelligence is only a part of success as a president. I don't for one minute believe Bill Clinton is 156. No fvcking way.

George Washington was always extremely self-conscious about his lack of education and the fact that he was not as learned as the other founders. But he had intense integrity, was hugely ambitious, and was a natural born leader. Those qualities are just as important.

From what I have read, most authorities on the matter estimate Trump's I.Q. to be between 120 and 130, which is above average to superior range. 85 to 115 is average per the Mensa chart, and is where 68% of the world populace land. Anything above 145 is genius or near genius, accounting for 0.1% of the world population.

Will believe it when it comes to pass. Current view is this was nothing more than placating the masses. Same MO; different audience.

Re: How could a "moron" win the Presidency of the United States?

Administering a proper, accurate I.Q. test is very time-consuming and takes a couple of days to administer. Most people won't commit to one because of the time it takes to go through.
