That's a pretty cavalier attitude about a businessman who went bankrupt 4 times and managed to write off a billion dollars of personal income by losing other people's money.

His business record is very much mixed at best.

Bandit is QFT.

FWIW - The Wikileaks emails show HRC exhibiting a similar level of arrogance.

Let me provide an example. Haiti gets crushed by a storm and the Clintons give their 'friends' priority in the reconstruction. The optics of that are simply awful. In fact, both Bill and Hillary showed absolutely no concern for choices that LOOKED self serving.

And frankly, their post presidential familial net worth increased at a rate never before seen in the 240 years of this republic. Stated differently: They appeared to monetize his status and her position as Secretary of State - with a level of aggression never seen before.

And that is largely why Gary Johnson and Jill stein got enough votes to disrupt the election.

I wouldn't say trump won as much as Hillary lost.

Frankly, I don't think Trump is any more devious or immoral or aggressive than any other head of industry. I've done constructions projects for billionaires in Arizona, California and Texas, and they are all, to a man, aggressive, competitive and arrogant. They have to be. To exert that kind of control over big corporations you have to be slicker and stronger than your competitors.

Right now I'm building two restaurants for the owner of the Houston Astros, and while I do like him, he has a ruthlessness that scares me sometimes. And he's what?...one out of a hundred or so billionaires here in Houston?

A C student at Harvard or Yale would be an A student at a state university.

John F. Kennedy was average at Harvard also. He was a heavy drinker and proliferate womanizer.

Make no mistake. Trump won. Trump has ownership/ties to 500+ businesses. Not required to extract himself from any of them just because he's pres. Trump's going to make it rain. On himself.

IMO, a C student at Harvard or Yale would not be an A student at state U. It is more than that....

Hold it right there, young man. My daughter is a student at a state university, and two years ago she came in first place in a national research competition, beating a student from Yale and another from Berkeley. Nothing inferior about going to a state school.

Well, he had the drinking part in common with W. And I certainly would not defend any womanizing.

But Kennedy was before my time. Like you, I was well into adulthood when Bush II came to power.

I think you overestimate the average ability of the typical Harvard or Yale student. Two grades? About half of the incoming Harvard freshman class is in the top 2% of their class nationwide. The other half is made up of legacies, athletes, and the needy.

Then why does our culture put so much value in a person being "Harvard educated"? Is that a farce?

Quite frankly, our culture is wrong, in my never humble opinion on this question.

Any school with ~50% of the incoming class among the top 2% of the nation is absolutely going to have some very smart and capable students. But there are lots of other ways to get in to and to graduate from Harvard.

It's a label. An exclusive club.

Trump's estimated annual income in 2014 was $362 million dollars. No "attaboy" earned by forgoing $400K.
