Re: Trumps theater tweet

If Trump had focused his interest and efforts on all Americans wouldn't he have won by more than 50%?

Which candidate ever actually focuses on the needs of everyone?

And personally, I'm not pissed, I'm scared and depressed.

Well Starfish it likely won't take a lot of time to find out if your fear and depression are warranted. Personally I hope it will be a renaissance of populist politics. (which won't be well received by the main stream Repubics or the Democraps and their special interest and pandered to groups.) And yes, I'm an independent populist and supported/voted for Trump.

If you don't embody controversy, what you say will become just another part of the media driven culture of stifling thought and debate about issues.

I think this concept that there is one singular concept of what is "the Left" is false.

Does say ... any random internet poster in the the Alt-Right and the like deep Neo-Con Dark Web represent "the Right?" I'm guessing no.

We all aren't the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, people. The Galactic Senate is a bit more nuanced than that, at least at this point. So I'd say if we want to start having some actual dialogue in this country, and "drain the swamp" like people are saying step one is to assume that someone speaking represents themselves as an individual.
I agree that the Left consists of a broad range of people whose views spread across the political spectrum, but if the majority of left-leaning media outlets and pundits push their agendas and their base don't call them out on it, what does that say about the individual?

Trump is far more controversial than McCain and Romney combined, and should have been the easiest target to pick off, so why did he succeed even with the barrage of negative news stories on him? Why did this guy with foot-in-mouth disease conducted his campaign with an IDGAF mentality and still managed to beat the Democrats' shoo-in candidate? Why did the voters who voted for Obama now voted for him? If you can answer these questions, you will see why we are where we are now.

Because Obama said "I bring you hope!" And "Yes we can!"

But then he smiled that lazy, self-satisfied grin and said "But first I must have a game or three of golf. Then my family and I need some vacations and maybe I will do something for you little people in the future."

But he didn't.

And when a loud and brash developer TV star pointed out that Emperor Obama was as naked as a Jay Bird, the people realised that the Emperor was without a stitch of clothing and turned away from him and his anointed successor who was also showing a remarkable amount of naked flesh.

It is like leaving and divorcing an 8 year very bad marriage and finally finding a good partner.

It is a very exciting time. :-)

And with your abusive ex shouting "Wait! I think you should marry my friend! You will like my friend! My friend is just like me!"

Golf thing makes me laugh. In first two years, Obama pulled the economy back from collapse. Killed Osama. Passed Obamacare. Republicans have been doing all they can to stop him and he never gave up. They questioned his faith, birthplace, citizenship, patriotism. He held his head high; will be considered one of the greats.

Not pissed or depressed, either. A bit stunned at the naïveté shown to have such hope in an egotistical, self centered insecure human being. Who else in America has his name as his brand? We next? Trumpistan? United States of Trump?

One of the greats?

Reality check:

We lost our AAA rating under his watch.
Multiple year of 1 trillion+ deficit.
More people on food stamp than ever.
More people have left the labor force than ever.
Slowest economy in history.
10T to 20T national debt.
Country more divided now than ever.
Diminished our standing in the world. Alienated Britain, Germany, France, China.
IRS persecuted conservative groups.
NSA hacked reporters' computers.
Fast & Furious gun running that killed untold # of innocents.
Missed 58% of his daily briefings <------lazy as hell.
Golfs more than any other POTUS before him.
42 vets died waiting for medical help from the VA under his watch.
Arab Springs disaster.
Spent $1B on Obamacare website that doesn't work.
Spent $1T setting up Obamacare that resulted in thousands of families losing their previously affordable non-ACA health insurance.

Let ISIS metastasize with no idea how to defeat them. All those women raped, gays thrown off buildings, and children decapitated is on him, not to mention the refugee crisis that is crippling Europe right now.

In fact I think you will find that the birther movement was started by someone in Hillary Clinton's team (her very own basket of genuinely deplorables?) when she was fighting Obama for the candidacy.

The only problem was that it took on a life of its own and rapidly left the control of those who thought it would be a good way to damage his chances of becoming the Democratic candidate.

Do you really believe that any successful businessman or woman would not protect their brand name?

Maybe you could ask to go on the Oprah Show to expound on this?

Or maybe not... https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/244983 Protect Your Brand, Oprah Style: 5 Legal Strategies She Uses (And You Should, Too)

You can thank Obama we aren't all living in squalor. The economy didn't grow because lending was tight after thousands of small banks failed and big ines nearly did, too. Took just as long to come out of the Great Depression.

Again with the golf. Wilson: 880 rounds. Eisenhower: 1200 rounds. Obama: 300.

Two wars started under Bush without legitimacy. Longest wars in US history. Won't be fixed by Trump, either. Quagmire. Cost the US trillions.

Veterans dying while awaiting care. This one is astounding. VA hides applications, bad software, bad processes. $180B in funding is not the answer. Needs a clean sweep from top down and bottom up. Dept of Veterans Affairs has offered solutions? Haven't seen any.

ISIS will continue to grow. No surprise; wars and bombs tend to make people hate their enemy.

Because he exemplifies what many Americans, for better or worse, aspire to.

As I told my wife, we survived a couple wars and a far more clueless and easily influenced President, and a couple inexperienced pretend liberals, and we did ok. Heck, my favorite President of recent years only got one term... (Not Carter )
