Trumps theater tweet

There are mature people and immature people. There are problem solvers and problem causers/ problem magnifiers. There are leaders and there are victims.

People are always going to throw lemons at you. That's life. When they do you have an opportunity to make a lemonade. That's maturity. That's being the bigger person, a problem solver, that's what leaders do. Then there are people who pick up those lemons and say look!!! This guy threw lemons at ME!! Pointing the finger at the lemon thrower. This is immaturity. This is being a victim and causing a problem that really wasn't there to begin with. And if there was a problem, it's escalating it.

Trump needs to stop making mountains out of mole hills.

Which tweet? This is the only one I've actually seen.

I don't have an opinion on the apology, but I agree the musical was unremarkable.

Re: Trumps theater tweet

I understand this is venting, but is this healthy for your mind and heart?

Seems energy poorly focused when this could be applied to every candidate involved, why bother singling out one... just because he won the election?

I guess I find this interesting in several ways, probably disappointing in most.

My brother has been the most compassionate person I have known in my life, gentle in many ways and things that I admired... recently accepted a faith and was brought into the Lutheran church with his wife and daughter all together and even through a social liberal had a fairness that was unwavering until this election and it's results.

As I was talking to him on the phone last Monday about Portland (he lives in the surrounding area) his projection about all things republican was shocking... I honestly wasn't sure who I was talking to while I was sure I could feel the spittle coming through the phone his words were so filled with judgement and hatred. He knew I had no dog in this fight per se, outside of the fact I could never vote for Hillary because of Benghazi, but to hear him excuse all things liberal and vilify all things conservative took me aback and filled me with such a sadness that I told him I couldn't tell the difference between the Liberal Democrats and Conservative Republicans anymore. He gave this almost mocking (I'm not sure it wasn't, but based on the conversation likely) laugh of disbelief and said "Really? You really cannot tell the difference?"

I said "No, the hate looks the same to me".

The conversation was finished politely with him sharing his respect and love for me, and I am sure he truly has and I for him, but it was troubling how quickly we sound like the people we chastise.

Judgement or love, they can't be done at the same time.

Peace be with you katiecrna...

Re: Trumps theater tweet

He made I believe 3 tweets in Hamilton. Then shortly after started tweeting Saturday night live. He is thin skinned. He needs to toughen up and focus on more important things. Not attacking everyone who verbalizes their fear or worry, which only makes us more scared.

Pence handled himself with class. He complimented the show, said it was a great production and reassured people that they are fighting for ALL Americans. Way to go Pence.

I agree completely. Pence was the one being "insulted." Actually, what do you people think diplomacy is? Basically, insulting and/or disagreeing with your opponent in the most eloquent terms possible. Pence listened respectfully to what the cast member had to say. Granted, it could be interpreted as a mean-spirited insult to the VP-elect. But it was delivered with eloquence, and accepted in the same manner.

Show respect to people who don't deserve it; not as a reflection of their character, but as a reflection of yours.

I refuse to make anyone a priority in my life who considers me nothing more than an option.

You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.

Trumps theater tweet

What do you do when your spouse throws lemons at you?

How much lemonade do you want?

At some point, you will consume too much sugar and get diabetes.

At some point, you just have to get away from the person throwing the lemons.

What did Trump show?

That he is thin skinned?

Or that if you are an employee of his, he will have your back and protect you?

Or... maybe he should be more like Hillary who threw Paula Abedin under the bus and then back heeled her to make sure she stayed under the damned bus?

One of the interesting things about the internet is that nothing ever really gets deleted.

If Pence were Olivia de Havilland (Melanie) and the "Hamilton" cast were Vivian Leigh (Scarlett) , and this were a scene from Gone With the wind

What a lovely dress Scarlett is wearing

If you don't embody controversy, what you say will become just another part of the media driven culture of stifling thought and debate about issues.

Re: Trumps theater tweet

Brandon Victor Dixon, the actor who delivered the statement, claims it was not harassment but a conversation. That was not a conversation; that was a one-sided lecture. They could have gone about this in a more adult way, like inviting Pence in advance to sit down for a dialogue, but instead they ambushed him in front of his niece and daughter.

How the Left operates...

Dissent was patriotic under Bush.
Dissent became racist under Obama.
Dissent is now once again patriotic under soon-to-be POTUS Trump.

See the pattern?

Wait about 60 days. Trump was elected to serve the people. Pence isn't his employee. He's OURS. And so is Trump. That's why they are paid a salary from OUR tax dollars.

Actually, Trump will not be taking a salary as POTUS, so he is a volunteer, not an employee.

Next time you visit a doctor, treat them as your employee. See how far that gets you.
