Re: Daughter of top EU official raped and murdered in Germany - Afghan migrant admits

About this problem in Germany, a radio commentator noted that this is what happens when you got young, jobless, testosterone fueled men floating around.

For all the women who died, were disgraced, lost their livelihood and so on to help achieve rights for women, letting these immigrants run amok is a slap in the face.

Funny how it's women -- Merkel and the ex mayor of Cologne - who were willing to make that sacrifice.

There have been a lot of theories as to why this is the case.

From Germany needing more people in it's workforce, to the "illuminati" deliberately trying to break down the culture of the West.

Either way, Merkel et al, no longer see themselves as women. They see themselves as part of the elite. That's their prime identity.

Like in the US, women have careers and have kids later in life. If it were not for immigration, the US would have a population challenge as well.

Europe made a huge mistake by restricting immigration, thinking it would save its jobs. Instead it destroyed economical growth, favored the baby boomers by leaving them stuck in their jobs and starved its young population of opportunities. Actually Germany fared better by using the European market growth to fuel its economy. But they see it is ending as well.

This influx of refugees is an opportunity to try to catch up and avoid ending up like Japan.

How can a country incentivize childbearing and population growth; for it's native, resident, legal citizens?

Immigrants will work for less money and accept poor working conditions. That is a big motivation for "welcoming" them.

But I don't see these people working yet. Aren't they still living in camps and living off the charities of the host countries??

It does happen that when people from minority groups become successful, they would like to believe that they got there on their own.

Clarence Thomas of SCOTUS who went to Yale Law and would like to abolish any form of affirmative action. I wonder what George W. thinks about that.

A lot of women would like to believe that they became successful on their own terms.

From what I have read, Merkel is deeply religious. I wonder how that plays into things.

Religion is a reverence of ideals. How could it be otherwise?

But, back here on earth, you have to mix your religious beliefs with what's happening in actual reality.

Especially if you're leading a country.

Where did you get that idea from? I was dating a guy from the US deep south. And worse one of the small towns in that state. I never met his mother but I spoke to her on the phone a few times. She sounded just like Aunt Esther on Sanford and Son. ie "I'm so glad the good rd gave you good weather on your vacation....:

Even her son admitted that his mother did not have much tolerance for other religions.

Wonderful as ideals. Most Christians would say they believe in them; as ideals.

But in practice?

If she is deeply motivated by her religious beliefs, Chancellor Merkel may be practicing "goodwill to all men" by allowing a flood of immigrants into Germany. Practicing her ideal; but letting the female citizens of Germany pay the actual, realistic price of living out those ideals in a non-ideal world.

Also, religion has always put women in their place.

My French teacher in high school was a Belgian Polish Jew. she tried to explain to us the practices in the Hasidic groups. How women shave their heads once they get married and then wear wigs when they go out in public. Even she expressed disbelief how some women will practice that.

And how the Catholic church treats women is well chronicled in western society.

Call it anyway you want but if you like the way Christians have treated women and people with other religions, you ought to love the Islamic religion.

If you don't embody controversy, what you say will become just another part of the media driven culture of stifling thought and debate about issues.

Change comes from the top.
The word is that her father asked for people to not bring flowers to the funeral, but to donate to Weitblick Freiburg eV which is an anti-deportation organization fighting to keep the migrants there.

I don't speak german, and I haven't confirmed it. Wouldn't surprise me though. People are often more interested in virtue signalling than they are in actual virtues.

I think your radio commentator is incorrect:

This is what you get when you import barbarians, who have nothing in common with you, who believe in child rape, who believe in child brides, who believe it is moral to attack and rape and enslave and kill the Kafir (unbelievers), who are in every way incompatible with your society and believe in enforcing their values onto the people trying to "help" them.

It is indeed sad that women with a platform and power, like Merkel, would betray their people to signal publicly that they are virtuous, while their countrymen pay the price of their decisions.

Do you hear the people sing / Lost in the valley of the night?
It is the music of a people / Who are climbing to the light.
For the wretched of the earth / There is a flame that never dies.
Even the darkest night will end / And the sun will rise...
