You can remove the bell from Adano and melt it down for armaments. If it is remade, using the same wooden casting pattern, the same proportional metal alloys, its appearance will be exact. Its tone though, will not quite be the same.

A man's voice changes as he ages. His spirit remains the same throughout his campaign on Earth.

Appearances are only skin deep.

Have no misunderstandings about how DC works. The only time politics is not happening is when there is only 1 person in the elevator. While many of the every day office dwellers are trying to do good work, those climbing the ladder always have to play politics. And the higher one goes the dirtier the politics.

The release of that report was not an innocent case of factual error, it was a calculated political dirty trick. Trump has reiterated he will not turn the other cheek.
This is my take on it too. They made a huge mistake releasing that false report.

I knew

Holes burn deep in your chest,
Raked by machine gun fire.
Screaming soul sent out to die,
Living mandatory suicide.

In a large organization you can always find some awful quote. The real problem is that our president has made statements indicating that he doesn't trust his own intelligence services. That is VERY dangerous - because it makes him easier to manipulate by foreign interests.
Honestly, is there some compelling reason he should trust our intelligence services?

Hey Herschel, Politico found evidence of the Soviets interfering in the electoral process, and directly trying to influence it. Did you get to read that article? They were meeting with campaign staff and all sorts of stuff!

There is a compelling reason not to trust them. Namely, they are a bunch of criminals.

Only if it supports what you already want to hear, like invading a country or something...

I am not saying that is ok by any stretch, assuming it's accuracy.

However, what do you rely on if you don't rely on your intelligence? I know Trump thinks he is smarter than everyone else. He's like rainman when it comes to counting...1.2 million, no, 1.3, yeah, 1.3 million.

Why do you think it is false?

Yeah, that's my point. I think there's a lot of reason to not believe them. They apparently got Iraq wrong, right? They've gotten a lot wrong. They routinely violate the rights of their own citizens. And to pretend that they don't have their own interests would seem naive.

Now, that's not saying he should turn to / trust other nations and their intelligence services...

Do you really think it is intentional?

Wasn't the intel on Iraq cherry-picked? I thought that is what we heard later.

Hopefully--and this is a long shot--he won't simply rely on any one group, but a mixture of intelligence service information, and personal advisers. I actually think every POTUS should have their own shadow cabinet for intelligence--one with no powers, merely advisory--and that some of them should be appointed explicitly the job of disagreeing with whatever CIA/NSA/JCS et al propose. A more serious version of what the Israelis do with their "devil's advocate office", to make sure they never make the mistakes they did in the Yom Kippur War.

I think so. I was a little young... It seems like the intelligence was bad--either they cherry-picked or lied--in order to promote a desired end: removing Hussein.
