I am surprised he still has a job. (I agree with him, btw).

Re: Free Speech and Political Correctness

Almost 2 1/2 hours of videos? No thanks.

Apparently not a professor of brevity.

Social justice used to be cause of the lynch mobs. Now it's mainstream.

Free Speech is truly in danger in the US, but I think there's some hope on the horizon.

More "anecdotal evidence" for @john117 and others who don't seem to see the issue in schools today...

2.8 Million Students attend Universities where "Offensive Speech" is reported to the police and bureaucrats...

Not seeing that issue is a matter of willful blindness.

Re: Free Speech and Political Correctness

Political correctness is pseudo language designed to make you look tolerant, non-judgemental, and good by not offending people and concepts. Its a little more dangerous to try to actually live by it. Its one thing to talk openly about how peaceful, non-violent, and gracious some groups are but quite another for you to be willing to live, have your teenage daughter walking through, or investing your life savings and have your wife work alone during the midnight shift in your all night liquor store, in their neighborhood.

If you don't embody controversy, what you say will become just another part of the media driven culture of stifling thought and debate about issues.

It's worth pointing out that "political correctness" is a term coined by Chairman Mao. He's not the type of guy I side with.
