Strangely enough all of those stalwart "conservatives" who want to conserve the America that never was, love to expound about how things used to be. Racial, religious and ethnic strife IS the history of this country. People didn't just get off the boat and were suddenly fluent in English. magically had jobs and lived in a McMansion in the suburbs, regardless of how hard the effort is to rewrite 'Mericun history to fit the militant nationalism of so many commentators.
no the actual immigrants actually hard to learn the language and in general worked their tails off. However, given what @Kivlor posted above about what certain segments of the immigrant population are actually doing, they are nothing like those immigrants from 100+ years ago, at all. You calling me ignorant is laughable beyond belief.

But make no mistake about it, I know as much history as you do and you are rewriting it to fit your narrative.

Given the comic book version of history the two of you keep posting about, I sincerely doubt it. But as I said, xenophobia has always been a part of the American fabric. Good job keeping our past alive
