Re: Hollywood

If it was not for Trump these folks would have no material and sagging ratings. Perhaps these folks should tweet Trump with a big thanks for material to sustain their careers.

As it should be. Eventually many will tire of the constant beatings of Trump. Trumps address was his vision and he communicated it very well. It may not be everyone's vision(Dems) as they sit with long faces, wear white and not clapping for any of it. Honestly, who could not clap for a person who wants to put America back to work again?

Gotta love Hollywood. I guess it is a good thing the industry is so pure. imagine the outrage if the industry ever took part in exploiting women, pedophile rings, etc...

Jimmy Kimmel's show is not "live" , it is filmed in LA at 4pm so he was taping before Trump's speech aired. Other shows like Colbert actually filmed live.

Re: Hollywood

The same is true of everyone. You only exist insofar as I want you or chose to use you. You have no right to an opinion outside of those boundaries.

Anyone can have ANY opinion they want to have. However, when I need a heart operation, I don't go to a dentist. Furthermore, when I do end up in a surgical operating room awaiting a procedure, I sure as **** don't expect a guy in a clown suit telling me to "relax, it will be over soon."

When I watch Kimmel I want light hearted entertainment, not a backdoor CNN anchor pushing me left.

Alas, I have means to turn it off......and I will.

Hollywood has puffed itself up to a level of importance that is beyond their scope of expertise.

Having said this, Ronald Regan (actor) became president and Trump is not exactly unknown in Hollywood.

I apologize for wasting your time, for I myself am unqualified to speak on the subject of politics or entertainment. Next time I will try to speak on something more in my wheelhouse.

In the end, I believe you do have a point. Please accept my apology for posting the op quote. It is endlessly vain, creating only division.

Re: Hollywood

My point was that the people of Hollywood just as people everywhere are not monolithic. Everyone has many sides to them. The difference is they have a very large platform and we just have crappy little posts on the internet.

What is your wheelhouse ump?

What I really want to do is stay here and talk about God.

I love God!

Your a young fella then. I've been married over 50 years. Never crashed anything too seriously. I have three son's, three d-i-l's and seven grand daughters. I am an expert in love, not love making. I am an atheist. I don't want to talk about god so I guess we won't have much to say to each other.

Congratulations on your FIFTY years of marriage!

It's OK.
We're all born atheists to some degree, except for maybe John the Baptist and obviously Jesus Christ.

Re: Hollywood

I have never seen a Jimmy Kimmel show nor listened to him in anything.

Not sure why or why not... just haven't, but then I don't have TV in my home either.

Not sure I would miss California either, although that I've seen.

Geez UMP... pretty hard on your ticker or just the gene you inherited?

I'm sure Hollywood has a diet for that.
