Does the Christian God monopolize the afterlife?

I am very interested in the God of other religions that are not Christian based.

I don't know much of any other religions and I think it's time we all learned from other religions' higher power and how that higher power takes care of believers in the afterlife.

Good things come to those who wait...greater things come to those who get off their a$$ and do anything to make it happen.

So it is your belief that it is all the same God but transformed? I know that the Christian God can be 3 in 1, so being more than that is not all that far fetched.

What name does he go by where you are? How old is this religion you believe in?

Thank you for your response, it's very interesting. If you don't mind, I would like to know more. Links to your God and religion would be greatly appreciated too.

Nobody knows what happens after we die!

You can have faith but nobody truly knows!

My God is known from our Holly book the Quran and we have the Guidance of the prophet mohamed to explain what is generalities in Quran. We believe in jesus as a son of Mary but has no father.. He is a miracle of God and not made as god made us we believe moses is a prophet too like jews... But neither christians nor jews believes in Mohamed as a last prophet. I can tell u more if u are interested.. If not.. I do not want to disturb or convince anybody of anything... GOD is the Light in anything... We are just saying do you like the light.

True mr chilly. Thats why God call that belief and confession and religion and not certitude ... Because we try to understand the unseen. I will ask somerhing :do anybody here believe the Hiv virus exist? If so are really everyone here certain of that and have seen the virus on the electronic microscope?

No. So how we can believe that? Just because of its effect.... The hiv causes a very dangerous desease that has simptoms and usually causes a death.. So the virus do exist even if we have never seen it. Do you think now God exist? He is the God of the Hiv too. If you follow the word of god you can never been sick of hiv because it is a virues that could be transmitted only by sexual relations or wrong transfusion of blood. So people not cheati g on their wives could not fall in it. It is a ki d of panishment to rebalance the God will on earth and believe in Family Cocept.

I beg to differ. In my religion, there are testimonies by people who know that we do go to heaven when we die. Their loved ones have come back to give testimony of this. It does take faith to accept this as truth though.

Remember that MY God is lumped with the "super natural" as he speaks of heaven in another world and not in Earth. It is very hard to not see something that has a lot of super natural phenomena in this faith called Christianity as being mere fiction. We, as believers don't see it as fiction but truth.

Well in the Christian belief you can't KNOW what happens when you die because if you did then you couldn't have faith, and your salvation is by Faith. Faith is essential so not knowing is essential.

Also the 3 in one thing, the easiest way to understand it is to think of water. Water can be 3 things and is still H2O. Ice, gas, and liquid. So to is God, at least that is how I think of it.

Thank you for bringing your religion into this discussion. You are very welcome here and I will not condemn your belief. I actually respect it.

According to the Qur'an, Jesus is a prophet, a lessor prophet than Muhammad.

I agree that faith is essential, but not knowing isn't for me.

Confirmation in the form of testimony is not needed to have faith, but for someone like me, it fortifies my faith. Helps me stay grounded in my faith so to speak.
