Default Fundraising for elections...

Another article I shouldn't have read... Just stupid that these people strut around like this when the average annual pay of a normal, everyday joe shmoe is 50K. Makes me ill to think this much money goes into someone "getting a job" (which the presidency is). Am I missing something? All this money they are raising could help on a lot of fronts, but not for a seat in the office. Just my opinion. I wish someone would get in there and lead by example.... $5000 on a dinner is not a good example of anything. It's just stupid.

In election, 'a seat at the table' costs $5,000 - CNN.com

Aren't they appointed?

It's like this every election year though, I'm not sure why I'm surprised. Just venting I suppose.

I guess my point is that many of them are given the job because they're major fundraiser/donors.

Cherry, that’s a very keen observation. Unfortunately, the millions thrown away on electioneering are really only chump change, when compared to things like the fact that we give Israel $8,000,000.00 per day. This works out to $35,000.00, per year, for every Israeli man, woman and child. And it looks like we are now about to get into another war for them (with Iran), for which they will not reimburse us one cent.

Conclusion: The U.S. has the very best government money can buy!
